What the message looks like
90244: We can't accept the liter you entered for Capacity Unit. To fix this, select an approved value from the list for your product category and resubmit. What does it mean?
Many Amazon fields are pick lists: units, materials, audiences. If you send something spelled slightly differently from the list, Amazon rejects it, even when the intent is obvious. “liter” is wrong where Amazon expects “liters”.
What causes it?
- A unit in your own spelling: liter, centimeter or kg instead of the value from Amazon's list.
- A value in your own language or your own naming, such as a material name Amazon does not know.
- A channel setting that sends a value your account does not support, such as B2B for the Audience field.
How to fix it
- 1
In your source (PIM or webshop)
Convert the value to the spelling on Amazon's list. That does not have to happen in your source itself: a translation rule (liter becomes liters) fixes it for all products at once.

If the message names a value that does not come from your product data, such as B2B, it is a setting in your channel. Change it there or leave that block empty.
